Hi!
I've had my CCTV system in now for about 6 mths. I've got 6 x DS-2CD2142FWD-1 cameras & the DS-7608NI-E2-8P NVR. As with everyone else I've been messing with settings since the installation!
Firstly the daytime picture quality is outstanding, however its the night-time where I struggle; perhaps my expectations are set too high? I've got a particular problem with one of the cameras, its one with 4mm lens, all the others are 2.8mm. I have attached photos of the problem, you will see that the one in daylight (evening) is already beginning to show the disc. On the subject of night vision quality, am I right in thinking that the IR's have to hit something in order to produce the image, in other words the further away you are the less effective the IR's are going to be. Finally, I'm surprised that accessing the equipment through the internet results in access to a greater variety of settings then if you access the software via the TV which is directly attached to the NVR by CAT6.
Regards
