Thanks Ford, The RCA you mention is it the same as this one: EZVIZ - a global smart home security brand
Can you still access the rtsp/rtp stream on the newer model?

Yes, the stream is accessible. See this thread for the trials and tribulations as forum members figured the hardware out. Thanks Ford, The RCA you mention is it the same as this one: EZVIZ - a global smart home security brand

This firmware works. I installed it today and everything seems exactly the same as far as web interface and operation. I imagine they fixed "bugs" but no way to tell until (or if ever) there's a release log.is the ver 180809 from here for this camera as well?

Does that change the camera branding or reset the device PW to default? This firmware works. I installed it today and everything seems exactly the same as far as web interface and operation. I imagine they fixed "bugs" but no way to tell until (or if ever) there's a release log.
Let me know if anyone else gets a chance to test it out and if it resolves any issues for you.
Have you noticed any differences between the old and new version?@RyanODan
Thanks for the update:

I could be wrong but I doubt it will help the wifi signal at all. You will probably have better luck installing a wifi extender and then connecting the doorbell to it, have you tried that yet?I finally got around to checking and I have a 16V 10VA transformer. Will replacing it with a more powerful transformer help with the weak wifi reception? Aside from when I initially installed it, I don't seem to have issues with rebooting.
Yeah I tried one temporarily and it helped a little. Kind of annoying since the AP sits directly above the doorbell on the next floor. Guess I'll go out and get a permeant repeater.I could be wrong but I doubt it will help the wifi signal at all. Modem (Fios) -> Ubiquiti EdgeRouter -> Ubiquiti UniFi AP. I have an ethernet jack in a room closer to the DoorBell, so I'll probably just add something there.@dummptyhummpty Are you using a modem+router combo only or is there a router in front of your modem/combo?
I replaced my 16V10VA with a 16V30VA a couple of hours ago. To my surprise, the wifi level reported on the Ubiquiti Unifi controller increased a few dB from previous readings. Same AP. Nothing else changed. I will continue to watch it to see if it remains at the higher level.I finally got around to checking and I have a 16V 10VA transformer. Someone identified what looks like an IC here: Identify unknown SMD component code A6530 72130Maybe someone who knows a little bit more about circuits can tell me what exactly is in this board. To me it just looks like a resistor and some sort of IC.
My guess is Buck converterSomeone identified what looks like an IC here: Identify unknown SMD component code A6530 72130
Looks like a type of fuse.

Google results indicate it's a "High Speed Protector" as described below, an excerpt from this datasheet. My guess is Buck converter
