Yeah 37 if I counted correctly and on an i6700K from Sebastians signature which just answers the OP's question as to how many cameras you can run on a 6700K.

After optimizations, a member here was running 50+ cameras on a 4th gen at 30% CPU.

It comes down to settings and a willingness on someone's part to not be contrite enough to think they need to run 30 or 60FPS and refuse substreams...

It's only 20 physical cameras, the others are clones. So the 6700K can run 20 pretty easily with sub streams.
