Me and this camera have developed a love/hate relationship. Mostly because it has a slew of features/functions that are undocumented anywhere and it has been impossible to find it. In any case, the camera was purchased through Amazon here:
Some of the present, but undocumented (can't access or alter in the embedded management page) features included human detection, motion tracking, and auto IR Night mode when dark. I will probably ask a couple of questions here, but for now, here is my first: When the camera detects a "human" at night while in the IR mode, it switches the IR/Night mode off as part of the detection and tracking attempt. This defeats the purpose at night because the area is dark and not well lit.

The core/command structure for settings and PTZ commands are all related to the hi3510 chipset. I am trying to find either a ptzctrl.cgi command or param.cgi command that will tell it to remain in IR/RGB mode when it comes to human detection and motion tracking. Really, I just want it to switch between IR and RGB based on lighting, no other reasons.

An example of both a paramiter command as well as a ptz controll command are as follows:

http://(IP ADDRESS)/web/cgi-bin/hi3510/param.cgi?cmd=preset&-act=goto&-status=1&-number=2

http://(IP ADDRESS)/web/cgi-bin/hi3510/ptzctrl.cgi?-step=0&-act=stop&-speed=45

Is anyone able to help here with this?
