SmartPSS is using a lot of data when idle

Hi,

I use SmartPSS V2.003.0000004.0.R.201021 app on Windows 10 and I experience high data usage even when the program is idle with no Live View open. There is about twenty devices connected, most of them over p2p. I am sure the data are consumed by the SmartPSS. When I close the the app the data goes down.

I would expect, that there might be some data establishing the p2p tunels. But this seems to be a bit of too much.

Is this expected behaviour?

When running PSS ( same version) with only 5 devices configured and no Live views , it uses almost the same amount of data as in your situation:


So probably as designed......

SmartPSS, on dahua website, I can find only DSS, in Products, Software.

In my computer I installed Toolbox version V1.010.0000001.0 - it is the last version from webpage Dahua Technology - Leading Video Surveillance Solution Provider with CCTV Produc. In this version of toolbox there is a software called SmartPSS AC which can not control survilance system.


Also, on webpage Download Center there is no other software which could be used on op. There is no firmware either.

Can you advice what software shall I isntall to customers to review cameras?

I really dont know.

I do have toolbox installed, but it won't let me download the SmartPSS (only for employees ?), and , I told that on the official dahua website (not on dahuawiki), the SmartPSS is no longer available, which leads me thinking that is EoL ....

On the oficial site, there is no alternative for SmartPSS.

You can not download the package but install works

I have the SmartPSS installer, no problem, but just for remark, that on official dahua website, the is no more SmartPSS download available (the last available, was General_SMARTPSS-Win64_En_IS_V2.003.1768000.0.R.210329.exe)
