SD49225XA-HNR

Where do you get one of these?

The 49225 (2MP version) with autotracking is no longer available.

The 49425 (4MP version) is available and is still on sale for a few hours more, but you have to buy it from @EMPIRETECANDY as nobody else has it with autotracking:

Yeah, I was looking at that one. Is the 4MP on 1/2.8" still worth it even though you need like 2x the light compared to the 2MP?

I mean the 2MP is the better choice, but it isn't available with autotracking.

If you have enough light though it is fine, or if you run it in B/W.

I have both versions and with a PTZ you can get away with slower shutters since it is following the motion, so the difference isn't as great as with a fixed cam on the same sensor.

2mp is totally end of life, for the 4mp still have some left, it's good enough for most home using. Long range ptz have to use the expensive model :D

I bought the 2MP several months ago when Andy mentioned on another thread they were going EOL.
I turned off auto updates and won’t be updating the firmware. It is disappointing that a firmware update removes auto tracking.

Why I can't disable motion detection? Every time I disable it, it comes back. This in GUI, in BI is unchecked.

It is a known quirk and BI is sending a code to somehow turn it on.

You need to go into MD and SMD on the 49225 and make the sensitivity the least amount, only select one block in the corner, and set a schedule for the minimum time it will let you.

So, I should enable MD and then set that up?

@Sandman_01 Still trying to get auto-tracking to work on my end. :(
Have intrusion set <> for a rectangle perimeter, and when trigger, camera does not follow to track..
Do you mind tell me if all days of week appear in Deep IVS >Parameter Setup > Settings as for me the saving all days of week wont persist as I am afraid this maybe the issue on my end?

Device Type: SD49225XA-HNR
System Version: V2.800.1341000.0.R.P9.2520.UN.NR, Build Date: 2020-03-12
WEB Version: V3.2.1.819501
ONVIF Version:18.12(V2.4.5.729857)
PTZ Version: V2.401.0000000.64.RHNZ_200219_34642

Any idea maybe what I am doing wrong?
You mind sharing your f/w ver if they do not match ones above?

Thanks

Maybe try tracking target size around 35-38 instead of 25.

Although SD49225XA-HNR has "Video Metadata" function.
Only the "Plate No" extraction function.
Because the performance of the DH7300 processor is not very good.
But It is also a good choice for cheap PTZ.

Only "Plate No" function.

The latest firmware has Alarm Track.
