Return to 2018: Dahua latest 5216-EI series NVR wants plugins to live view

Hi,
I have Dahua NVR-5216-EI (released this year newest AI NVR with AcuPick).

On original firmware web interface worked fine.. I had possibility to live view 4 streams on any browser (Safari / Google Chrome on Mac).

I downloaded newest firmware DH_NVR5XXX-EI_MultiLang_V4.000.0000000.1.R.230427.bin from dahua website, which should give me AcuPick functionality..

After upgrade I lost live view functionality.. NVR wants me to download some plugin as exe file.. But I use Mac (so no exe support) and also I known that all browsers on all platforms don't supports plugins them now (they are history)..

Also there are big problems with text font size on NVR web page. Some texts use very huge fonts (too huge), some very small.. it's hard to correct this using web page zoom in browser.. In previous version everything worked/looked ok (as in previous NVR's from Dahua)...

Is there anyone here with the new Dahua NVR from EI series? Do you have the same problem after upgrade firmware?

I can't find original (0.R) firmware on dahua website to revert version back...

Oh man...not good....
I hope there is a link out on the Web to the old firmware.....what a bummer.

Buy the exact unit, and put your old one in the box and return that motherfucker. <---(sometimes his solutions are as bad as the problem)

Yes - 1.R firmware gives AcuPick functionality. Which is main selling point of newest EI NVR's and WizMind-S cameras. You can select any person/vehicle from any footage and click on search icon - and NVR will display all recording of the same looking person/vehicle from all channels/cameras (of course only one which supports AcuPick)...




At this moment no one on this forum didn't write anything about this new technology - because this is a new functionality (published in latest firmware from May 2023) and only available to newest EI NVR's and WizMind-S cameras (which are not available on Andy shop)...

[/ЦИТИРОВАТЬ] Обновился , вроде все нормально. Перед обновлением сбросил на заводские настройки , потом обновил на новую версию и ещё раз сбросил на заводские настройки. Потом с флешкарты накитил старый образ. Через браузер запросил палагин , разрешил его скачать и установить . Шрифты ровные ,

Can use smartpss to manage it if you are using a Mac.

Обновился. Разницы от прежней прошивки , от DH_NVR5XXX-EI_MultiLang_V4.000.0000000.1.R.230427 - Не заметил пока. Есть ли у них отличия , не знаете ?
 
Hi, Always read the release notes before flashing firmware.
DH_NVR5XXX-EI_MultiLang_-V4.000.0000000.1.R.230427.zip_Release-Notes
1.5.1 Program
After the earlier baseline V4.000.0000000.0.R.230131 is updated to this new baseline version or
later, it cannot be degraded to the original version.

Hi, I also have a Empiretech-andy NVR-5216-EI and am interested in this newer firmware. Waiting for the s series cameras and more testing of this firmware.

And even then the release notes may not include everything and may take away a feature. Why we preach only upgrade if it is clear it is fixing something. Hoping it fixes usually results in issues.

Have a latest new fw on 2023 June, we will make some testing and release soon.

All those features are from 1.R.230427 release...
1.R.230620 looks like very small fixes sub release - they even don't change number (1.R) - only different date...

The June one just another new baseline compare to the April one, the upgrade have some improvement. I sent to some guys to do some further testing and report back.
