If you read through some other recent threads you'll find dozens of times this is explained. You'll also pick up on a lot of other useful tips.

Basically the plastic doesn't hold up great to sunlight and you get a ton of IR reflection making night vision really crappy.

Dalepa...excellent advice. I'll take my NVR budget money and apply it toward a dedicated I7 CPU system build to run Blue Iris. I have the skills.
