Hi, I have this type of Chinese Cam (got it from eBay): XM530_80X20_8M
with this firmware version: FW: V5.00.R02.00030678.10010.244500.0020000
As I am definitely not a Windows user and this cam only supports web ui access via Internet Explorer, I tried to set it up in my preferred Android IP Cam viewer TinyCam Pro by auto network detection ... and it popped off there as ONVIF device with anonymous authentication!!! That means everybody could access the onvif stream without the need of any authentication!!! No user, no password required!!! As it is not bearable at all to me to publish an ONVIF port without any authentication required to the internet for remote access to this camera, I would need a bit of help of more experienced folks with this cam:
Is there any known device at the market which is identical in construction? So I could choose such a model instead in my TinyCam app instead and try to access it via simple http. So I would not need a port forwarding to the ONVIF port and the security hole would only exist within my local network, but not outside of it, what would give me a better feeling at least.
Or even simpler - is there any way to make ONVIF access private? I have already searched all the cam's configuration interface, but I was not able to find a switch to get rid of anonymous onvif access... Maybe there's a trick to do it...? Maybe another firmware?
Would appreciate any help...
