Hi all, with Win 10 EOL fast approaching, I was looking for a PC setup with Win 11. I went through this excellent article: . While it has great suggestions, it does not address one issue I am most concerned about: NOISE! My PC will be in an area where this becomes an important consideration. Are there any suggestions from experienced forum users about hardware that will minimize noise when it is operating. I will only have 3-4 cams connected normally, when noise is an issue (I connect additional cams when we are not home, and if the noise increases at that time, it is not a huge deal).

Thanks in advance,
-Kal.

Thanks @loony2ns. @Gimmons, you make a good point. I will research.

So, is it safe to assume that most SFF PCs from major vendors like Dell and HP are probably pretty quiet?

I have a bunch of HPs, and with them it depends on the HDD. Some are crunchier than others, but otherwise they're silent. I have one running 24/7 in the bedroom. You'd never know it was there.

We recently had a long discussion of how to load W11 on older machines. If you can't find it lemme know.
