NVR problem

Hello all,
I have an 8 channel built in poe NVR, the cameras are plug and play and they got assigned IP addresses and they all show good, however the ip address of the NVR itself is set at 192.168.2.10 but when i go into the SADP tool or IVMS the address displays as 0.0.0.0 and I cannot access it through my pc. What can I do to get access to the NVR through my PC?

Likely your PC is on a different network than the NVR thus they cant communicate

What is the IP of your PC?

The IP of my pc is within the range of the nvr itself yes its 192.168.2.55

I'm not real familiar with HiK software so hopefully someone with HiK knowledge will come along and point you in the right direction.

Have you tried going directly to the NVR by typing 192.168.2.10 in a web browser on your PC?

And are you 100% certain the NVR is still at 192.168.2.10?

Yes in the NVR interface it is 192.168.2.10 and when i try through the browser it doesnt load

Apologize but like I mentioned I'm not an HIK guy (mostly Dahua) so hopefully an HiK expert will drop by.

The ip address is set at 192.168.2.10 but in the SADP tool its 0.0.0.0

I'm guessing that you have the PC connected to an NVR PoE port and not on the LAN.
Can you confirm?

It's puzzling why the other NVR is showing in SADP. Can you confirm how your got the devices wired up?

Also - point the browser at 192.168.254.1 and see what you get. Should be the 8-channel NVR.

Don't you have to tell SADP what the NVR's address is? (Coming from another Dahua user)

SADP operates using broadcasts so will find any device on the same wiring independent of what the IP address is.
