Not sure when every i try to use the system a bit it seems to reboot when i change setting on some cameras some are non Hikvision even when using the app via the iPad on one of the ptz it seems to crash i tried again but it seems ok ?

what could this be i checked updates but it says all updated :?

the system info is as

As a long shot - maybe check the SMART detail on the HDDs as these have been a factor in some NVRs rebooting.
In particular, check the counts for reallocated sectors, pending sectors, or any of those attributes indicative of HDD problems.
What's available varies with the HDD model.
And see if there is anything of relevance in the NVR log.
 
Along the same lines as @alastairstevenson's reply, what type of HDD are you using? I've seen reboots using regular hard drives and when I switched to a WD Purple surveillance drive, the issues resolved.

Hi Did you ever manage to get this issue sorted? I have just purchased and am seeing exactly the same issue, happened about 6/7 times a day
 
Had the same issue with my DS7608NI-I2, downgraded the firmware to 3.3.6 no more issues, now I'm upgrading, step by step, more or less once a week, (currently 3.3.7).
IIRC, issues did start with 3.4.6 (and above), but someone has had issues even with 3.4.0

Hmmm, I do actually have the DS7608NI-I2, not the E2...interesting....

I didn't think I could downgrade the firmware as it said it couldn't, but might give it another go.

Not sure if you are aware, Ive read somewhere that it was UPNP which was causing the issue, so I have literally just turned that off and am giving it a go. Will keep you updated :)
 
Of course, let me know how things go with UPNP turned off on 3.4.82 :)

Yesterday evening I've disabled the UPNP and upgraded again my DS7608NI-I2 to 3.4.82 (from 3.3.7), two 'Illegal Shutdown' since the upgrade ....
This evening I'll downgrade to 3.3.9 or so ...

I'm experiencing the same behaviour too. Damn annoyed no. Let me know how you get on with 3.3.9.

I have raised it with Hikvision support, and will let you know how I get on

Hikvision have said UPNP Needs to remain switched off at all times, they are also blaming my drives (WD Red) as the cause, despite it having worked on previous firmware with 3 additional cameras to my current setup recording 24/7.
 
Also just been sent some more suggestions from Support....

If I unplug the network cable does it still happen....

If I remove the HDDs does it still happen....
