Hi i just installed a used 24 port POE switch from Ebay
I have two PTZ cameras that were already using poe injectors and showed up on my NVR
After i plugged one of the cameras into the poe switch i don't see it in the nvr
I tried a manual add, that also didn't work
My question is my home network is 192.168.100.1/100 my nvr assigns ip at 10.1.1.1/255
Is the reason I am not seeing the camera because its on the 10.1.1._ network ?
Do I have to change the ip address of the cameras to my home ip address?
Thanks Terry

Dumb question for which apologies - if this is a managed switch, did you clear any pre-existing configuration that was on the switch?
There may be access lists, VLANs etc that define what can communicate with what and how.
Maybe even a DHCP server.

Well I found out I had to reset cameras to get the ip address to grab home network and than bring into my NVR
The first ptz went fine, the second my DH-59430U-HNI PTZ not so good
When i plugged into the poe switch the camera goes into spin mode, I cant push the reset button in while its turning.
So i cant get it to reset and grab the home network ip address.
Any Ideas ?

I spent more time on the DH-59430U-HNI PTZ camera today, i can connect it with a POE injector to the HP pro curve 2620 on a none poe port.
If i use a POE port that I increased the wattage to 30 the camera goes into spin mode, it will spin 360 stop than go back the other way.
I do have a low watt PTZ camera connected to port 1 that works.
Anybody here set up one of these HP pro curves ?
I think its the switch causing the problems but wouldn't rule of the camera either.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks .
