I'm looking to secure a property which doesn't have internet, and I'd like to place cameras around a perimeter which will not have power cabling or much sunlight. I could possibly mount a battery, but solar will not charge in many of these areas so I anticipate changing batteries every few months.

I've bought two ezviz C3A cameras to test at my own home, since I've had a lot of good luck with Hikvision in the past, though I'm looking for something I can modify firmware, and I don't see a way to even download firmware for ezviz. I plan to have cameras placed outdoors and would like good night vision and weather proofing.

I'd like to be able to connect the cameras to a central hub that can run on a sim card to send pictures either via email or upload to a cloud. But, if I have a hub that connects to a cloud I'd like to be able to specify an endpoint to upload pictures, if possible, by modifying the firmware. I'd setup my own server endpoint with a response that emulates the cloud's and keep all images on my own servers. The hub's location will have power, but the cameras at the perimeter will be too far to run any type of cabling.

Right now, I have trail cameras setup, but I have to go check the SD cards weekly and hope nobody's damaged them in that time. Ideally, I'd get an immediate notification that motion was detected, but I'd like not to rely on some untrustworthy Chinese app running on my phone all day. I'm eyeing some trail cams which have their own sim cards, but those aren't cheap, and require their own sim for each camera. Is there any solution that checks all my boxes? Fully wireless, can connect to a central hub, possible to modify firmware, and sends email or sms or http uploads?
