Need an NVR with LPR

Ok, I have tried I spy and Blue iris and they are both not working for me. Therefore, I am going to buy an NVR. Need help with a model or brand any suggestions new or used.


Not looking to spend much, tight budget, but need something that is reliable. 8 ip cameras.

Posting the brand/model of your IP cameras is probably a good start.

Hikvision DS-7616NI-K2 is super nice. Can even be made completely silent if you want: New Hikvision NVR loud fan "replacement" :)

I have all hikvision cameras, but just add a Duhua IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 for the purpose of LPR.

what cpu are you using? what camera? have you enabled direct to disk recording? A proper computer to run most setups would cost about 150.
