Spotted this moose in time to capture some footage with the Mini PTZ V1. (A bit long, even after cropping out some of the footage where he was hidden behind trees.)

Where is this video taken? Colorado?

Really nice footage, Looks like he has done you a favor with his brush clearing skills. I would not want to be on the business end of those racks. Thanks for sharing

Oh very nice!

that is one intimidating looking beast.. thats awesome he is residing nearby, it took me far too long before I encountered my first Coloradan Moose.. We dont have that many in comparison to northern latitudes.

Take a trip up to Rocky Mountain National Park sometime. Moose are pretty common on the western side, near Grand Lake.
This guy walked right past our living room window. Bet he stood pretty close to 6ft at the shoulder. There is another bull that we see in the neighborhood that is even a little bigger.

yeah RMNP is the only place Ive encountered them, but I presume you dont live within RMNP boundaries.. I dont spend as much time there as I would like, mainly due to the dog ban in national parks.

hell 2 weeks ago I was camping at a dispersed site on Guanella Pass and a Grey Wolf circled my camp shortly after putting down some dogfood.. that was quite a surprise

Our place is just outside the park. We see moose almost as often in the neighborhood as we do taking a 10 mile drive into the park.

why would they need to be? deer bounce off cars, yet most cars bounce off a moose..

They are not nearly as blind like deer are if thats what your wondering; so yeah.. they can see you, but they might not care heh.

The worst part about moose and cars is that they're black. Find one on the road at night when it's wet and the damn things are almost invisible until you're too close to stop.
