I am bench testing this camera right now before I install it in its place outside. First impressions are that I like it. I really like the speed of IR -> Color switch at night.
Questions I'm trying to figure out right now.
1) How can I manually turn on red/blue flashing lights from the DMSS App? The first place I tried was the light bulb icon but I get an "Operation Failed" message. I get the same failed message when I click the siren bell icon. These work fine for me from the web cam GUI though.
2) How can I 2 way talk -- From the DDMS App and the camera from outside? Again, tried "Talking with Channel" and "Device Talk" but I only get my audio coming out of the TV/NVR screen.
Caveat, I am ONLY hooked up via the RJ45 plug. Is it necessary to connect those smaller wires associated with with this camera.... to something? Not sure what that would be though.

You only need LAN via Poe or LAN+Power. When you go to the camera to see the live preview, you can turn on the siren and blue light there.
Yup all that works for me via the GUI. Not sure how I can manually trigger those warning lights from the app though.

1.To activate the red blue lights in the app you do use the light bulb on the app. You need to be sure it is "on " in the camera via web GUI or nvr
2 way talk is talk with channel with a NVR and device if you only have a camera. I assume you have the audio on if you hear it on tv.
Make sure volume is up on phone，You can test the audio in the app by selecting the speaker to hear it in the phone
