As discussed in the other thread (that was deleted because the OP was spamming forum users with PM's) there is no jpeg security issue if you use the camera with an NVR or dont port forward the actual camera to the web. Its really a non-issue.
 
And they have responded by fixing it with a firmware update, and offering a pre-release version of the firmware on demand for new orders.
That's actually quite responsive.
