I am unable to connect to the doorbells wifi for setup, We are supposed to use the verification code as the password. The code on my unit is only 6 characters and both iphone and android(i tried both) require minimum of 8 characters. Totally lost what to do. I guess pack it up and send it back unless anyone has some idea what to do here? Help!!!

Thats was not it. The device if I was more careful at one point tells me to copy from a prompt which somehow gives me the lan password when it is in a mode that has its own hotspot, i then paste it into the ssid psk field. your then connected to the doorbell. you can now configure it to connect to your own home wifi. and continue from there the adminXXXX is used to log onto the device after its connected to the home wifi.
