Looks like I found an alternative to the absurd price of ipvm. I'll be subscribing this weekend and testing it out.
It's $48 euro pounds or $51 usd a year....

I know several of us have been looking around and I'm curious if anyone's used this option.

Here's the company and their response to my question.

Hi, @Firefighter. Curious if you ended up using cctvdesigntool or something else. I'm seeing they have a monthly plan available now which would be handy for those of us only needing to use it during initial setup and then pause/cancel and then again when adding/replacing cameras. For the camera database, if not using the direct manufacturers (e.g. Dahua, Lorez, etc.) that they have we'd have to research the closest equivalent for those of us using EmpireTech cams. I'm still researching/looking into options.

Hey I haven't but I think I'm about to buy it for a year.
It's $12 a month, but if you pay for a year it's $4 a month. It doesnt get much cheaper than that. So I'm gonna buy it for a year. $58. They added Amcrest Cameras as my request through their support email so they are very responsive and actually do something after the email. lol that alone deserves my annual purchase.

Great! Let us know if you find it useful and they'll probably get a few more customers.

Paid and messing with it now. Its worth it. Here's a short 15min video they have and it surprised me you can run wire lengths, network switches and more for network planning ontop of the cameras.

I must say this tool is very easy to use... and handy...
best it have big database od cameras (but some versions are missing) with lens and min and max horizontal FoV database...
And it draws DORI distances as colors!!!

So it's very easy to draw / handle FoV fields of each camera...

Project below done in 15 minutes..

Many have moved to this:

Played with that (this is from that 'Backstreet Surveillance' :))..

You select in this app camera model for nothing..
App don't have / monitor / draw FoV parameters, DORI parameters, anything..

Simply draw segments of circle over google map picture.. nothing more..
in comparsion to CCTV design tool this is a toy..
