Guys please help
Ok I've set up numerous huisuns on my own network ordered a v2 for my sister and for the life of me can't get the ptz to work with the hikvision Nvr. She has a 4channel nvr with a switch adding a further 4 cameras. Her existing cameras have their IPv4 set to 0.0.0.0? So her system is

Router ip 10.0.0.138
Nvr ip 10.0.0.64
Internal Nic IPv4 192.0.0.1

Cameras plugged into nvrs addresses are 192.0.0.**
Into the switch their
10.0.0.**

But the sadp tool picked up that the cameras IPv4 are 0.0.0.0 why? I set the new ptz to ip 192.0.0.32 and IPv4 to 192.0.0.1 and plugged into nvr but it won't work!!!! Do I have to set the IPv4 to 0.0.0.0? How do i do that as the sadp tool won't allow it.....arrrgghhh so frustrated

I can't even guess why you are seeing 0.0.0.0. This address basically means "all addresses assigned to this device". Like if you are setting up a web server that has multiple IP addresses, you can tell it to listen on 0.0.0.0 and by doing this you are telling it to listen on all of its addresses. It doesn't make sense to see it as an address belonging to a specific device.

I'm at my wits end, all her cutrrent cameras are showing IPv4 as 0.0.0.0, she had them fitted by a professional security mob and she seen my ptz and just had to have 1. Don't really want to call back the security place as they've already charged her a bomb

showing IPv4
Presume you mean the 'default gateway' as shown by SADP. Remember that the SADP tool is a Hikvision tool - there is no guarantee that it will fully work with Huisun cameras. In fact it's amazing that it works at all with them.
Log into the cameras with the web browser and check on the actual cameras what the default gateway is actually set at, change it as needed.
In reality - it should not matter much what it is unless the cameras need to access the internet, for example time setting, emailing etc

You have quoted that "Router ip 10.0.0.138" . That is the address that should be used as the default gateway for cameras connected to the LAN (not those connected to the NVR PoE ports).

Yeah I didn't set default gateway to router ip, I've installed 3 ptz prior so I'm sort of familiar with them. I tried accessing the cameras via virtuall host but wouldn't allow me. I then actually plugged the hikvision camera that I was going to replace with the huisun into my laptop, hit refresh on sadp and it showed ip 192.0.0.7 with IPv4 0.0.0.0 !!!! So I gather I need to set the huisun the same way, how do I do it?

You need to stop calling IPv4 Gateway just "IPv4." It is extremely misleading. Alas, I suspect the gateway field is completely unrelated to your problem.

Bigjebac, did you get a solution?? I just bought a Hikvision ptz from aliexpress and can't connect mine thru the NVR either! I can connect it thru my modem and it shows up that way but not an ideal setup

I'm yet to go back to my sisters(we're the issues are) to try again. What are your current cameras ip"s and are you using the sadp tool to change the ptz ip and IPv4 to suit your set up.

My issues are that her current cameras have a IPv4 default gateway set to 0.0.0.0 which a security mob set up and I'm buggered if I know why

My cameras that allready work have ips of 192.0.0.2 then 3 then 4 etc.
They were assigned by the nvr.

Yes is used SADP to change my ptz ip which i had to change to 10.0.0.X to get the nvr to see it. BUT for the nvr to see it in that 10. address it has to be plugged into the modem and not into the NVR.

Did you set the ptz ip to 192.0.0.x its IPv4 gateway to your nvrs internal Nic? 192.0.0.1?

Yep tried that.
My cameras that work are 192.0.0.X with gateway of 10.0.0.138 which is my modem gateway.
I tried both and no luck :(

Sorry I'm of no help to you, hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge can chime in cause I'm a newby with all this networking stuff. Let me know if you find a solution. Is it possible to change the ptz ip to 192.0.0.x and gateway to 10.0.0.38? Via the user interface

192.0.0.x and 10.0.0.38 are in entirely different subnets. The gateway needs to be in the same subnet as the device's IP address.

So how are the cameras that do work on the NVR 192.0.0.X with a gateway of 10.0.0.X working then?

Yes you can change that via SADP. I tried that with no luck.
You may have to just do what i did and that was change the gateway to 10.0.0.138 and give it an IP of 10.0.0.69 and plug it into the modem and then add it to the NVR with that IP address. Leave it into the modem and it should work still.
