Hi all,

i think these are fake right? :
IPC-HDW4431C-A-V2

so i was wondering if the IR led can be automatically switched off when no active video stream is requested from the cam.

the reasoning behind this is as follows:
i don't want red glow light from the IR led to be on and i don't want my kids to be illuminated constantly when sleeping when i'm not looking at a stream....

I've read on this forum that some cams can be scripted by http calls... maybe to switch off or too?

Mine isn't.
It's been perfect since being put into service about a year ago.

Not automated, so you'd need to take a few seconds to re-enable it if required, but at least it can be switched off.

ok, thanks, i'll just leave it off then. using the cam primarily for daytime viewing.
