The 5442 series is not discontinued and in fact was just upgraded with a better sensor.
Due to 3rd party selling issues, it won't be called that except for thru official authorized dealers.

Same size sensor but improved performance. @bigredfish has both the older 5442 and the newer one and has shown the performance is better in reality as well.
