I loaded the latest version of firmware into one of my Hikvision NVR's for trouble shooting and it is not working out. I want to upload a previous version firmware but the NVR will not let me. A search did not turn up anything. Any help appreciated.

Ages back, on both the IP cameras and NVRs, Hikvision implemented a 'downgrade block' that inhibited downgrading between major versions of the firmware.

Looks like I am stuck with an "upgrade" that does not fully work. I cannot view Playback and the Live View from my PC with this NVR. IVMS-4200 does work though. Here is a screen shot of the new upgrade.

Yes, I am using Internet Explore. Something seems to be blocking the video with the latest NVR software. You will notice that the layout is different. Here is a screen shot from another NVR and everything is fine with the previous software version. I suspect I am not the only one with this problem. I suspect another version of the software to be out shortly.

Try with Internet Explorer, NOT Edge. You keep trying with Edge, which is clearly shown on your Windows taskbar.

You might also want to delete the plugin you currently have installed on Windows, which will be somewhere like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Web Components", and let the NVR install its own plugin. Connecting to devices with different firmwares might cause problems since each one of them wants its own plugin.

When I click on my Internet Explorer page this is what comes up. Also the Edge icon in the taskbar gets highlighted for some reason, not the Internet Explorer Icon on the right which is the one I click on. Maybe this is a problem??? However this page does work with my other 3 NVR's with the previous firmware.

@Parley, In Edge Settings, do a search for Internet Explorer and you will see the various options. You may want to try changing the first option shown below about letting IE open sites in MS Edge to "Never. "
