I have a hikvision DS-7608NI-E2/8P with 6 DS-2CD2142FWD-I that i bought from China. I installed them all and had everything working fine, but one day i turned them off and forgot to turn them back on till the next morning. When I turned them on he cameras are not connected and i cant get them to connect, i have reset all settings and did not help. in the camera page there is a yellow triangle under status and when you click on it it says"username or password wrong". I am a rookie at all this! Please help

That will have erased the stored values for the camera passwords.

Suggestion:
You need to determine the status in order to figure out the problem and potential solution.
Access the NVR web GUI and under Camera Configuration, note down the IP addresses of the NVR channels that the cameras are connected to. These will likely be in the range 192.168.254.2-9
Assuming the cameras are all connected to the NVR PoE ports, wire the PC to an unused NVR PoE port and start SADP (Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. Ltd.).
If the cameras are powering up OK, you should see them and the NVR listed in SADP.
See what their status is - Active or Inactive. If they are 'Inactive' you need to Activate them, by creating a password of your own choice.
See what their IP addresses are, note them down.
Compare them with the IP addresses you noted that the NVR PoE channels are using.
Are they different? If so - you will need to change them to match the addresses the corresponding NVR PoE channel is using.
To do this - you need to know the camera admin password.

Try to change the IP address on one camera. If that works OK, change the IP address to match that of the corresponding NVR PoE channel.
If you can do this for all, the cameras should connect again OK, after you set the correct password in the NVR web GUI for the cameras..

If you have lost the camera passwords, you will need to use the 'Forgot password' link in SADP to export a file, send to Hikvision tech support, and hopefully receive back a password reset file. For this to work, the cameras must remain powered on. I don't believe the 2142 has a reset to defaults button - but I'm not sure, others may confirm.

If the password you remember / or have set for the cameras is OK, and the cameras are 'Active', plug the PC back in the LAN and access the NVR web GUI.
In Camera Management, set the camera password to the correct value.
At that point, they should connect OK again.

So they are active in SADP but the IP addressees are not matching up, when i try to change them in SADP it says "device rejected"

Thanks for all the help, it appears they are back up ans running. The camera has a reset button, unplugged the Ethernet cable, hold down the button, re attach cable and hold button for 20 seconds and everything is back. Any suggestions on how to prevent that from happening again.? Thanks again!
