Hikvision nvr setup

Hi Guys;

Im new here, just hoping i could get some answers regarding HIKVISION NVR.
So i have Hikvision DS-7732NI-E4/16P NVR,
and what im trying to do now is to have a separate network segment(192.168.452.x) for all the IP cameras.

NVR:
Disabled DHCP
192.168.254.2
255.255.255.0

Internal NIC
192.168.10.2

IP Cameras:
Manual IP
192.168.254.x

Internet/Router
192.168.10.1

NVR is connected to my Router using one of the POE Port, and so as my IP Cameras.
My Problem now is that when i try to access ip cameras using my laptop which is connected to my router, i cannot ping or connect.
Have i missed something?

I have a 7716NI-SP/16. My NVR has a separate ethernet port, I assume your's does too. So I think your router should be connected to that and NOT a POE port. And perhaps I'm incorrect since I didn't bother to look at the specs of your NVR.

I read your setup to mean that your LAN network is on 192.168.10.1 and you have another NIC on 192.168.10.2 which I presume is connected to your NVR. If that is true, I think you need a route to direct traffic from x.x.x.1 to x.x.x.2. I don't know how to advise you on that.

That's what you are doing wrong. The 16 POE ports are for cameras. The LAn port is for your network.
You have a 32ch unit, and only 16 POE ports. If you want to use the 32 channels, you will be using 16 cameras connected to POE ports, and 16 cameras on your own network.
