I have a Hikvision MS-8804NI-E1 / 4P and I bought a new camera, but it shows up as "Offline(Network Abnormal)" as below.

I connected the camera (using the same cable) to a POE switch and the camera works fine (I connect and get a live view).

What am I missing? Thanks.

What was the IP address of the camera when on the PoE switch? Presumably matching your LAN address range.
When on the PoE port of the NVR, the IP address needs to be 192.168.254.5.
You can change the IP address of the camera when on the PoE switch using SADP, then connect it to the NVR PoE port and it should work OK.

The POE switch is working through your LANs subnet, but when plugged into a POE port on the NVR it should go through your internal NIC subnet, which is 192.168.254 it seems. It seems like you need to change the camera's IP address from your LAN subnet to 192.168.254.(5) via web browser.
