Hikvision Issues

Hi All,

I had installed Hikvision NVR + 8 cameras in 2019. Unfortunately, the NVR was stolen during a break-in on 28 November 2020.

I have since, purchased a new NVR, however, cannot get it to connect to the cameras. I do not remember the password from the previous one and the technician who installed it, is no longer in Perth.

The new NVR is working fine.

The cameras are registered to some user id and password, which I don't have.

Any idea how this can be fixed?

How are the cameras connected, NVR PoE ports or PoE switch?
What model of cameras are they? Some have reset buttons.
What version of firmware are they running?
SADP will tell all.
Older versions (5.4.0 or earlier) can have passwords extracted using a security vulnerability.

I will have to get someone to find out as I am a complete layman in this area. Have requested someone who installs cameras to come by. Thanks again
