Hikvision have substantially re-organised their Hikvision Europe download portal - which although invalidating the many historical links on this forum, has now provided quite a lot of useful information on the product classes, nomenclature, and even the firmware capabilities. And some previously unpublished firmware.
Definitely worth a browse around for those with curiosity about their products and the need to fill in some gaps.
