Hikvision ds-2cd2432f-iw No Audio on video downloads

Hi, I get no audio when I download the file from the hikvision browser interface When I use the web player it has audio, but not any other time. Any suggestions, I do have the newest firmware in the camera 5.2 XXX also.

Apologies if you've already checked this, I don't (yet) have one of those cameras, but have you selected Video&Audio in the video configuration, should be in a screen similar to this:

Yes I have that correctly set up. Still no audio on the download, playing back with, final media player, vlc player and, pot player.

I have emailed hikvision, still waiting on a response, last email took 2 weeks to respond. Not real happy with customer support...

FYI, Hikvision is does not sell direct to the consumer ...they sell through authorized distributors...most likely you purchased from an unauthorized seller (most of us do), however, you are lucky to get any response as they are under no obligation to provide support. You need to look to your seller or forums like this for support.

I actually had the same problem with our demo room camera. I think you have to use ivms 4200 to download the file instead of using the browser.

Hmm maybe, we don't have SD card in that camera and were using NVR. and we downloaded the file from NVR also.

Problem solved Ryan figured out I need to set the audio encoding to MP2L2 and it works in the browser download and the ivms-4200 download. Get Support from Nelly;s wow!

Since I changed the codec I now have no audio on the ivms-4500 for android, comes up error 8023? Any ideas?

So it looks like I am stuck with no audio download if I want audio in live view on the mobile app....

Excuse my ignorance but could you kindly tell me how you set the audio encoding to MP2L2? I have gone through all the browser settings and cannot find this setting? Much appreciated if you can reply.
