Good day
I bought a Hikvision camera in china
type DS 2CD2032F1
There is no contact with the camera and also the ability to change parameters is not possible
Not with the SADP Tool or the web browser or IVMS-4200
The strange thing Is that the program SADP tool and the IVMS-4200 sees the camera but you can do nothing
Both programs report the camera is active
How is that possible when I have do nothing?
My router, the Asus do not see the IP address of the camera
That’s maybe the IP address is out of the range of the router
Do you have a solution

If the IP address of the camera as seen by SADP is not on your LAN address range, and you cannot change the IP address using SADP, you should be able to access the camera via the browser to determine if it is activated, or if the password you are using is incorrect by changing your PC IP address to be in the same range as the IP address that SADP sees the camera on.
What firmware version is reported by SADP, and what firmware version is in the camera or box label?

Hey, I had the exact same problem.
I returned the camera and bought a new one.
The new one worked fine.

thanks for the Repley
it is strange thatthey deliver a camera with this low IP address
All routers start / are 192.168.1.1
they do this on purpose?
what do you mean to change my IP address on my computer
where do i do that?
in my Asus RT-AC66U router
if i put in the browser, the address of the camera 192.0.0.64 there is no connection.

You need to change the IP address of the PC to one in the same range as the camera first.

what do you mean to change my IP address on my computer
Start | Control Panel | Network and Sharing Centre | Local Area network connection| Properties | Internet Protocol version 4 double-click
Then change to, say, 192.0.0.128
v6.jpg

What version of firmware does SADP show for the camera?

Good day

thanks for the advise

I have changed the IP address in my computer
Under active connection LAN and LAN connections IPV4 you can set this (win7)
I filled 192.0.0.60 and the default gateway 192.168.2.1 (the camera is 192.0.0.64)
You will have no internet connection anymore but you'll be at the login screen of the camera.
And then the next issue is 12345 and the admin password is not accepted
That is strange i never enter the camera and i have also nothing change.
can you reset the camera password ?

they says in the manual that you can access the camera via a LAN cable straight on your computer
According to me, would that be a crossover twisted cable? ( http://www.peakelec.co.uk/content/ethernet.html)
And what do you do on your computer to connect to?

it is obviously the madmen to bring a camera on the market with these adjustment problems going from one to the other problem

software version 5.30 build 150814

Who knows what next

You do not need a direct cable connection between camera and PC. Just leave the camera and the PC connected to your router or switch.

You will have no internet connection anymore but you'll be at the login screen of the camera.

That is good! You have the login screen of the camera but the user=admin and password=12345 does not work.
The newer cameras have a more complex password requirement.
Try 123456789abc

Thanks !!!
The password was correct
I'm IN and have changed the IP address in a normal access number
But I have no picture yet even after installing the plug-in from Hikvision
What to do now?

Excellent, well done.
So just to back track a bit - SADP would have allowed you to set the IP address without changing the PC IP address if you had been advised of the updated password requirement.
Presumably you have put your PC IP address back the way it was.
Now:
But I have no picture yet even after installing the plug-in from Hikvision
What browser are you using to check out Live View on the camera?
Chrome will not work because the current version now does not allow the use of NPAPI plugins.
MS Edge will not work because it does not allow plugins at all.
MS IE11 will work OK if the webcomponents plugin is installed and enabled.
Check the status using IE11's 'Manage Addons' menu, it should look something like this (older) version:

Name WebVideoActiveX Control
Publisher HANGZHOU HIKVISION DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD.
Status Enabled
Architecture 32-bit
File date ‎25 ‎June ‎2014, ‏‎17:01
Version 3. 0. 5. 19

What would be worth doing, in my view, is an independent check that the camera is providing an RTSP video stream.
This can be conveniently done with VLC Media Player (Videolan) with a network stream connection such as:
rtsp://camera_IP_address:554/
Or even with the very good Windows open-source tool 'ONVIF Device Manager' from sourceforge.net
Both of which are worth having if you are working with videos and cameras.

i have use the VLC network stream rtsp:// new ip adress and the admin en the log in password and i have picture.!
the camera is working!!!

why it will not work in iVMS 4200 program?
in iVMS is the net status not good so it say it stay in the upper line above the camera line you see it alone when your mouse is there
and in the below screen stay no email sending???

now i see the camera in the Asus router i give it a static address and a port forwarding for access outside.

it could be that the port allocation in the SADPTool is not properly filled in
There is port 8000 and the HTTP port number is forwarding of my Asus router
The original was 80 when there was nothing change

If i log in via the google browser i miss indeed the plug in so as you describe
it is true that if I want to log in from another place to see this camera and I use google I can not see the pictures?

i will try it on ms 11 explorer but i must install it i use google
i have more cameras working with cms software
Can you tell me what the difference is between this two systems
and why can i not find this hik camera on this CMS software.
Is there a streaming or decoding difference
We are making progress !!!

Hi
I have picture in the IVMS 4200
The mistake was that the addition of the camera you get a pop up window where you have to fill in a nickname and a password and a user name.
I filled it the log in of the program, but must fill in the log in the data of the camera
Little silly, but it works!
Stay the e-mails and use of the other cameras in CSM
And I think the problems if we want to log in from outside with a mobile

I installed ONVIF and I see my other two cameras
The Hikvision is also listed but not connected
When I click the Web site in this program, I can just log in and have after installing a plug in a picture of the hik camera
But not on the streaming video and live video buttons/links

the other cameras give picture

Yes, that is correct.

There are very many different types of 'CMS' software.
Some are specific to a particular type of camera.
If your CMS software will allow a camera to be connected as an RTSP device, you should be able to connect the Hikvision camera.

The Hikvision camera is also working with the ONVIF software.

The problem was you must fill in the admin and the password of the Hikvision cameras in the left above corner of the program.
I had the impression that this was the password of the program

Thought it was strange that I could use it without logging in.
The other two cameras that I use and could see because there is no password on this cam`s

How it goes if you want to look at different cameras if they have different passwords?
If I can see the three brands of cameras means that all three have the same streaming of this ONVIF program can support multiple standards?

Is there a phone android app of this program?

regards

There is only one set of login information so you need to change it for each camera you are checking out.

ONVIF Device Manager is a tool - not a CMS or a viewer. It is used to find information and settings and to check cameras.

No - but there are plenty of Android apps for viewing cameras, many are mentioned on this forum.
