Hikvision camera OEM DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3 location unavailable

Camera will not record on local computer. I am alve to set directory but will not actually record files, says"locatioin unavailable" which is not correct, using folder on C drive clearly available.
Would you please let us know how to do?

Run IE11 'as administrator' / add the camera IP address to 'Trusted sites' / check security permission of the (unspecified) target folder.
It's a permissions problem by the sound of it.
