All-

Just a little background, I purchased a 2342 from ebay and went to configure and install over the weekend and ran into some issues. Upon bringing up SADP the cam was activated and required the admin password. I tried several "known" passwords that are floating around the web and this forum to no avail (device rejected error). I contacted the seller and advised of the issue and they wanted me to send them the xml file in which I did. They sent me a key and I proceeded to go to the Forgot Password section and inputted the key and attempted to make my own password, meeting the password requirements, to no avail.

Not sure what else to do at this point? Just thinking out loud, I read there is a reset on the inside of the cam after taking the back off but not sure this will get me to the preactivation stage or what? I also read that you can use the tftp tool to reset to put a different firmware version on the cam which may help..although I have never done this before. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The cam has software version 5.4 build 1605 I believe and I have used versions 3.00.100 and 200 to no avail.

Thanks.....

Just to be sure there are none you missed, my recollection for those defaults prior to 'activation' is 12345 123456789abc 123456789a also using upper-case characters.

Yes, I have even tried 1234567a, a1234567, 1234567A, A1234567, 12345, 123456789ABC, ABC123456789, etc, etc, etc to no avail. I attempted to take out the 3 set screws and was going to look for a hard reset inside the cam but can't figure out how the cam comes away from the metal base.

I tried all passwords on both the SADP tool and by logging into web interface of the cam via laptop.
