Hik 7616 NVR - 1GB file size min download?

Seems when I want to download say a minute or two of recordings on my Hik NVR, when I search the time I want, all the file sizes that come up are generally 40 min or so long and 1GB. I have in the local config settings the recording size to be 256mb (not 1GB).

Curious if I am missing a setting somewhere as downloading 1GB and having use an editor to cut the file down to size is a bit of a pain?

Yes - for short extracts, use the 'clip tool' - the scissors icon - in the web GUI Playback page.
Start playback just before you need it - click the clip icon - then click again after you are past where you need it.
Check the download location on the local settings.
Add the NVR IP address to IE11 'Trusted sites' so the clip doesn't go to the Windows VirtualStore location. Or run IE 'as administrator'.

Didn't even realize this was working again in IE. Switched to Palemoom after I lost chrome support on it!
