Not really troubleshooting, just a PC tech question. I have 6 cams recording to a WD Purple 24/7, CPU typically sits at 25% but disk sits at 85%. I am not planning to add more cams soon but if I did I might be maxing out the disc data path. Besides reducing resolution and frame rates is there another solution?

Unless that’s your Disk Idle % I don’t understand why it would be so high. Are you capturing 6 cams at high frames per second (say 15-20+)?
I want to say my purple HDs were testing 187 MB/s and direct to disk seems to consume about 1% (but my max FPS is 15), 85% sure seems high to me.

Thanks for the replies... I'll look into this after the hellidays. BTW the disk usage % I am talking about is from the BI app or web UI. I haven't looked on the server PC task manager to see if it reports similar.
I just realized something by looking deeper into the UI3 settings. Disk usage here means space allocation, not disk read/write usage. D'ooohhh. That makes more sense.
