Help! I screwed up!

Good evening all,

I have a Hikvision DS-7608NI-SE/8P NVR. I just tried updating the firmware to 3.0.15 Build 150528. Now all I get on bootup is 2 chirps then the "Embedded NVR" splash screen appears for a few seconds then disappears. The red status light flashes once or twice. The screen goes blank and stays blank. The power light stays steady and Tx/Rx flashes. That's it. I rebooted a few times but still the same. The last working firmware was 2.3.10.

Can anyone help me recover my NVR? Please!!!:sad2:

I assume it is a Chinese region model and you tried to put English firmware on it. If I were you I would try to find a Chinese firmware image and flash it, but I don't know where you would find one. And also it would more than likely be stuck showing Chinese language after this.

Perhaps the seller could provide you with help?

I was under the impression it was a US region model.

You should be able to use the tftp recovery tool to downgrade back to a working version: http://www.hikvision.com/europe/download_more.asp?id=1336
