What's the reason that you need the firmware as the saying is if not broke then don't fix.

Might be a good idea to contact your dahua dealer or the company who you purchased it from and I would try a Master Factory Reset first.

I think a newer firmware is DH_SD-Fafnir_MultiLang_PN_Stream3-NormalV2_V2.810.0000014.0.R.200803.bin
Index of /Firmware/Kamery -IP- obrotowe- PTZ/AI/ (dahua.support)

They also have the 112209 firmware on the site

Is this the latest firmware for 5842 series - System VersionV2.840.15OG007.0.R, Build Date: 2021-12-21

on Dahua website I am seeing - Dahua Technology - Leading Video Surveillance Solution Provider with CCTV Products, IP Camera, PTZ, HDCVI products, NVR, Intelligent Building, Intelligent Transportation and Software - Dahua Technology

DH_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.840.0000000.13.R.220110

@EMPIRETECANDY - Can you please look into this?
We will have another firmware at the end of June, most cams will have an update then. When ready to test i will post here.

Can you provide the link for new firmware for 5842, if u have it handy?
I just saw it on the link that you yourself posted. There's a new one there from Aug 2nd.
Not sure if Andy has a different one.

I just installed the FW from link above on my EmpireTech HDW5241H-AS-PV, it at least starts up and seemingly works like normal. Not the new interface which is probably good, since I'd expect it to take at least 12 months to be stable given how many updates and back-and-forth "AI" detection of Humans took before it worked well enough. Also a bit wary of what toll the new interface will take on the older camera CPUs since they seemed to be stretched to the limit even with the shipped FW. But maybe the new web UI won't be available for the Volt platform.

Anyway, the new FW seemed to add a few more IVS "AI" things that I can't recall I had in my January 2022 revision 13 firmware (this is rev 18 if I interpret Dahua's naming correctly). See screenshot. I haven't tried them out, I only use Tripwires for Humans.

Edit: there's also a "Smart Object Detection" tab under Event that I don't think was present in my previous FW either. That has a corresponding tile under Smart Plan too so can't be had at the same time as IVS, at least not on my camera.
