... enable hidden features on DS-2СD1148-I/B?

Hi all!



There's new camera on the russian market: DS-2СD1148-I/B, tech support says that this is R6 platform. It's specs are very similar to DS-2CD2142, but this model doesn't have alarm and audio in-/outputs. Hikvision has also cut out all "Smart events" features, at least this section is completely missing in the WebGUI. @iTuneDVR supposes that this is implemented at the software level. Is there a way to modify the firmware to enable Smart events or at least Line-crossing detection? Maybe @montecrypto and @alastairstevenson have any ideas?

As a simple first step - check if the features are visible and configurable via the Batch Configuration Tool : DOWNLOAD PORTAL

Only 2 settings are available: "Motion detection" and "Video Tampering Detection". "Video loss" option is inactive (grayed).





That's why this model is sold officially for only $ 50... =)

That's a pity - so it's properly disabled, not just removed from the web GUI.

I checked, really looks like a clone of HiWatch DS-I452. The support confirmed for the second time that this is R6 platform with a clipped smart analytics.
Does this mean that it is limited hardwarely? Is there any hope?
