Hi! I just got my DS-2CD2T42WD and somehow, while fiddling with it, I changed the network settings wrongly (put the subnet mask as 225.225.225.0 instead of 255.255.255.0) and cannot access it anymore.
Can you guys suggest me a way to hard reset it? I opened up the whole camera but could not find a reset button.

Thanks
Anmol

Hi! I tried to access it using the SADP, I find nothing. I changed the ip of my camera to 192.168.254.2 (to match the NVR's IP) and changed the gateway to 192.168.254.1 (to match the NVR). I will try using the Batch configuration and let you know what comes up.

Now I'm confused.
I thought you could not access the camera any more?
How did you change its IP address?

Hi! I tried to access it using the SADP, I find nothing.
And you've now implied from the IP addresses that the camera is on an NVR PoE port.
To attempt to access the camera, with SADP or the Batch Configuration Tool, you'd need to connect the PC to a spare NVR PoE port.
If trying to access via a browser, you'd need to set the PC IP address to one in the range of the NVR PoE ports, for example 192.168.254.100

Ok Ill explain it again.

I could access the camera when I got it out of the box. I connected it to my PC and changed its IP to match the NVRs IP and now the NVR doesn't pick it up and neither does the PC. I mean to say I manually changed the camera to a fixed ip in the camera's setting page and set the following things
IP - 192.168.254.2
Subnet - 225.225.225.0
Gateway - 192.168.254.1

Now when I connect it to anything, the NVR or directly to the PC nothing happens. I changed the PC ip to 192.168.254.3 and still nothing! Connected the PC to NVRs spare port and nothing.
