The optimum settings are to some extent dependent on the location that the camera is recording - the lighting, the variation of light and shadow, the field of view, the amount of movement etc etc.
You question is too open-ended, and lacks a sample image that people would be able to comment on.

Is this in a location with low light? My 4mp cams don't do as well in low light as my 2mp. Are there a lot of shadows? If not you could try turning wdr off or down although it might not make a dramatic difference. You could play around with the noise reduction and see what it does.
