DS-2CD2432F-IW not recording

Hi all

I recently installed a DS-2CD2432F-IW inside my house (via ethernet cable to NVR). I already have 8 x 2335-I which are working fine.
The DS-2CD2432F-IW has been installed over a month ago but has never recorded a single video file.

The LED status on front of cam is as below:
ALARM: Solid Red
STATUS: No LED
LINK: Blinking Orange
I can Live View via browser and smartphone app, but it doesn''t record. i.e. there is nothing in Playback when I want to check something.

I have same motion detection settings on all cameras, including DS-2CD2432F-IW and all DS-2335-I.
NVR is Hik 7616 NI
Storage space is not a problem.

But it sounds like you don't have the same recording and schedule settings.

I thought they had the same settings. But on a closer look, I found that under ""Linkage Method", Trigger Channel wasn't ticked.
I ticked it and walked into the motion detection area. It still didn't record any file. Other than that all settings were similar.

I checked it after reading your message and it was Purple (Other).

I then went into Edit > All Day > Motion Detection.
Then I clicked Copy to Week > Select All. Then OK, then Save.
Now it is Green (Motion Detection).

Walked into its FoV. Still no record file :(

I just set it to Continuos and still no recordings !
"No record File" under Playback tab

OK, if the events on the camera are set up correctly, to create the triggers, what about the actions on the NVR?
Storage | Schedule settings | Enable and the type and timing of the schedule.

This is how it is for all 8 cmeras

All cameras record upon Motion Detection except number 8, which is the 2432 (indoor)

That certainly looks like it should work. I think you've covered all the needed configuration items. Odd.

Anything interesting in the NVR logs?
What model is the NVR, presumably 16 channel?
Oops - I see you have quoted 7616NI

I might go upstairs and look at the NVR itself.
I have been looking via NVR browser log-in.
Maybe there is some warning in the NVR ....
Thanks a lot for your help.
I also might contact Ali store where I bought it from ...
