DS-2CD2342WD-I Activation Failed

Picked up this DS-2CD2342WD-I UK model but I can't seem to get it activated. I have tried two versions of SADP but still failed.

It has V5.3.3 Build 150630

This is the first setup issue I have had with Hikvision so any help with this one would be appreciated.

I must ask (so pardon me if obvious to you): with SADP, how did you power the camera?

Using a separate Poe injector which I use to setup and check my cameras before installation.

Camera is connected to my existing lan network which has the same IP config.

So you should be able to connect to the IP address with your IE11 (not Win10/Edge) browser and activate that way.

Spent all day trying to get it activated with failure so I went away for a couple of hours and now it has activated with first attempt. I did nothing but left it powered up and connected to the network.

I couldn't access it via a browser as it just timed out or went to a blank page so couldn't activate it that way. Bloody strange and the time I spent on it and the cure was to go away for a few hours and try again.

Version 2.2.1.1 of SADP within Hikvision Tools seem to work best with this camera when modifying setting.

Version 3.0.0.2 etc times out.
