Does this mean the HD for BI storage is kaput?

Doesn't appear to have anything stored on it. I see the DS alert videos but when you try to play them on BI it says "cannot be found". Also, REPAIR DB is moving at a crawl...after 10 mins only 3%. Finally, I don't see a drive E anymore.

You can't do that if the hard disk is missing.

Strange, I unplugged the PC for 20 secs then plugged it back in and now the HD is working again. Strange because I rebooted it earlier but that was not enough to get it to work again. Don't know, maybe the HD is starting to go out.

As I said time for some diagnostics, I fully realize that you can not test a drive that is missing in the windows OS, 15 years as senior tech support for about 1,800 computers left me with a bit of knowledge to carry around in my brain!
