What is the next best option if I want a PTZ camera (in the same price range)?
Thanks @cyberwolf_uk But it is not in the same price range. It is almost double. I am willing to sacrifice quality a little bit to stay in that price range.
You should be sacrificing ptz not quality...do you even need PTZ?Thanks @cyberwolf_uk But it is not in the same price range. It is almost double. I am willing to sacrifice quality a little bit to stay in that price range.

Here's a Dahua option, in the same price range. Hard to manufacture a PTZ for the same price and quality as a fixed varifocal. Same cams, one with Dahua log, the other without.

Dahua 2MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ Network Camera (SD49225T-HN)Thank you all for the help. I was just checking if one can get acceptable quality PTZ in the 100-170 price range. How about if I relax the varifocal constraint? Are there any good fixed focus PTZ in the 100-170 price range?
Why do you need ptz?Thank you all for the help. I was just checking if one can get acceptable quality PTZ in the 100-170 price range. How about if I relax the varifocal constraint? Are there any good fixed focus PTZ in the 100-170 price range?
Then it wouldn't be a PTZ. Only indoor ptzs in that range. How about if I relax the varifocal constraint? Are there any good fixed focus PTZ in the 100-170 price range?
Unfortunately my camera is not communicating. The address comes up on the initial scan but that is it. Without going through all 115 pages of this thread is there a "reset button" inside or at least two pads to short out?
