Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

What is the next best option if I want a PTZ camera (in the same price range)?

Thanks @cyberwolf_uk But it is not in the same price range. It is almost double. I am willing to sacrifice quality a little bit to stay in that price range.

Aliexpress.com : Buy Dahua 2 Megapixel Full HD Network Mini wifi PTZ Dome Camera SD22204T GN W,free DHL shipping from Reliable dome camera suppliers on Empire Technology Co., Ltd

Aliexpress.com : Buy Hot !!!Dahua 2Mp Full HD Network Mini PTZ Speed Dome with dahua LOGO 4x optical zoom SD22204T GN,free shipping from Reliable speed dome suppliers on Empire Technology Co., Ltd

Here's a Dahua option, in the same price range. Hard to manufacture a PTZ for the same price and quality as a fixed varifocal. Same cams, one with Dahua log, the other without.

Thank you all for the help. I was just checking if one can get acceptable quality PTZ in the 100-170 price range. How about if I relax the varifocal constraint? Are there any good fixed focus PTZ in the 100-170 price range?

My IPC-HDW5231R-Z's arrived about a month ago, and the bases a few days ago. I am very impressed with the hardware quality and build. The bases even have weather seals. These are no crappy little forsam jobbies, they are big and solid! Can't wait till I can get them mounted up!

Props to Andy, for supplying the cameras and re-supplying the bases after the wrong ones were shipped in the initial order. Would trade again!

Unfortunately my camera is not communicating. The address comes up on the initial scan but that is it. Without going through all 115 pages of this thread is there a "reset button" inside or at least two pads to short out?

The search box at the top of this page has a tick box called "Search this thread only" you might be able to find what you want with a few keywords.

crack open the cam, look at the SD card slot, toward the edge of that board near the corner is a small button you can push in.

Is there enough space behind the 5231's standard wall mount to hide the join from the cat6 connection to the camera loom?

Or would i require the optional Dahua mounting bracket to hide that?

(The cameras are going on a brick wall with external cat cable)
