There are a ton of cameras, and it's difficult to make a decision.
I put together a spreadsheet with some basic information to help the selection.
There are many parameters not on the sheet, and will require checking the specs for those details.

There were several that I missed the Starlight designation.

Awesome start! Would it make sense to list whether or not they are Chinese or International versions? I think there are both types on there, and we don’t want any newbs getting surprised, right?

They all are available from @EMPIRETECANDY and I do not think he has the Chinese listed on his site.

Suggestions for things to add, which would then make the cameras listed in my Cliff Notes irrelevant :

Horizontal and vertical Field of View
DORI specifications
Links for the following for the cameras: Dahua page, data sheet, quick start guide, manual, and IPCamTalk review.

If you place this in Google Drive and share it, either as MS Excel or a Google sheet, I can download, make some changes to add the information I have, and then re-load it. If you are not interested in doing this, I can just re-create the information you gathered.

I've not used Google Drive to do something like this, so I'm not sure if this will work.

It works; I just started doing this recently with the linked docs in my signature, as suggested by one of the forum members. I never used it either, but it is pretty handy.

Again, if you don’t mind, I can take your data and expand upon it.

Hi,

One of the terms I believe I saw that is also important is ppf. Is this something that is characterized by a different name in the spreadsheet or is it something that can be added through use of a formula with the given data?

PPF will be determined by the distance from the camera and will be different for the # of MP.
4k ( 8mp) is only twice as many as 1080p ( 2 mp ) when doing a PPF calculation.
This file had some information on actually calculating the PPF at distance.

This video had examples at distance using a 2mp or 1080p camera.
