BI Update Manager not saving updates

I have BIT set to <Enable Update Backups> but it is not currently saving anything. Both BIT and BI up to date as of today. In <Settings> the BI path is correct.

It has saved updates in the past, spewing update.version.exe files into the following directories

Folder Versions Date range
BIT\BI Updates 4.8.4.6 to 4.8.5.1 2019-01-12 to 2019-02-28
BI4 4.8.2.5 to 4.8.6.3 2018-10-27 to 2019-04-11
BI5 5.0.2.4 to 5.0.8.2 2019-09-24 to 2020-01-21

According to the BIT help the files should be saved into BIT\Updates and these are the files listed within the BI Update Manager window. It makes sense to save them into the BI4 and BI5 folder, but why did it switch back and forth between BIT and BI4? More importantly, why does it sometimes save the updates and sometimes (especially now) not?

Blue Iris recently changed where it downloads the update files to, so any app trying to backup your update files needs to be updated to match. I had to fix this in BiUpdateHelper as well.

Turns out, the update path can be configured in Settings > Other > Temp path. Hopefully both apps can be updated to pull this path. Thanks both for your work.

Right, I asked Ken and he did tell me there was a temp path setting and that is where they get saved now. I should be able to get a BiUpdateHelper update out within a week or so as time permits.
