I recently got the Dahua SD49225T-HN-W to replace a Sharx SCNC3905. After a few struggles, I finally got the Dahua set up to record to my NAS drive via FTP. The issue is that the Dahua format is only DAV, as anyone reading this most likely already knows.

Does anyone know if there's a way to automatically convert DAV to a more standard format like MOV or MP4 and save the converted files to the NAS drive?

The Sharx saves motion-detected video to the drive in MOV format, allowing me to us my cell phone, PC and other devices to quickly load and scan them, without the need for conversion or a special player.

Here's how I have it set up: two Sharx IP cameras record motion-detected videos to my WD My Cloud NAS drive in MOV format. I use the My Cloud app on an Android phone and iPhone to view the videos. It works perfectly, allowing me to scrub videos. I'm trying to find a way to view DAV videos from the Dahua camera I bought using a similar setup.

Is that even possible?
