step away from tiny cam so you can determine what the issue is...
reset, change the ip and and use the browser...you likely wont have any problems loggin in...this is 100 percent user error...

Have reset the password 3 times and device.
Changed the IP twice and set up alternative user password.
The browser works fine - I established that earlier this morning and know it works.

What I want is to use the Camera with an App which doesn't work.

Create a SPAN port on Lan with layer 3 switch to see what traffic was hitting camera to see was another device in house trying to access and lock it out with nothing happening. Could not see where issue was occurring

Don't know what these apps do under hood any how they are authenticating so now am at loss.

Gave up , done everything I could think of with this camera.
Factory reset camera. Tried debugging with Wireshark.
Camera will only authenticate via web.
TinyCam or other apps won't work and authenticate.
What does VLC make of connecting to the RTSP stream? Or ONVIF Device Manager?

if you can do it in the next 10 minutes, there is an Amazon lightning deal on these. $44

ONVIF manger works fine. So it does pull the RTSP stream. Is it therefore an issue accessing specific protocols

In the set up for the cam...

Configuration - Security - Authentication

Check how that's set for RTSP authentication.

Under Security - Security Service might also disable Enable Illegal Login Lock.

Also that there aren't any filter restrictions.

I have the same issue with all iPhone IP camera apps that I've tried, but I have the same issue with my Dahua's too. Blue Iris works fine.

Really strange stuff. The live display worked using ONVIFER app which then somehow kick-started all the other apps and now they are displaying live video over any protocol I selected.
I switched back off upnp, disbaled hik platform service. Switched off all internet access and then switched on WiFi .

Working over WIFi as well now.

2 strange observations:
1./
ONVIFER app somehow kick started the thing and then Tiny cam worked.
This repeated on other devices.
I.e went to other device (Amazon fire)would not work in TinyCam then installed ONVIFER and low and behold it then suddenly popped up the live feed also in TINYCAM.

2./
Something very strange on the network adapters.
I had the lan set to IP .140 , had the WLAN set to .146. Disconnected the cable and rebooted.
I was able to login to the camera over the wireless network using .140 and display feeds using .140 with no cable connected.
When doing a search for cams on network I was returning .146. but I could not connect via .146.
I set both IPs to .140 and it's working now.
How do the adpaters work in this camera are they bridged or something.

Don't know what happened but it's working .

I just bought one of these and can get it to work on my phone with the Annke software. I can not get it to work in BI though. The iVMS-4200 shows it but says it's not on the net. I can get to the log in screen via a web browser but the password that I use via the Annke software does not work. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Maybe look up some YouTube videos using IVMS – 4200, because when I used it you have to click on the camera and initiate it or something to that effect.

has anyone else noticed that the live view of this cam pulsates every second? or is it just me?

I had the same issue.

I notice that also. I believe it has something to do with the H.264 encoding. It seems to pulse on the I-frames. I get the pulse every 2 seconds, I have mine set to:
Frame Rate: 10
I Frame Interval: 20
Max Bitrate: 4096
I haven't investigated it much, so far I've just said, "Huh. That's annoying."

This seems to have made it better. Frame rate of 15 and I Frame of 30 also seems ok. Thanks

Hi giomania,
Do you (or anyone) know how to set this cam on continuous recording when it stands alone without NVR? I could not find such option in setting.
I bought 02 and will have them placed at my aged parents' home while I'm not around regularly to format the microSD cards when they are full.

You never have to format when full...set it to overwrite

In Blue Iris are you guys just using the generic make or one of the hikvision settings? Thanks
I did the inspect for mine and it works.
In BI go into the cam properties and then hit the video tab then configure button. In the new window hit the Find/inspect button and use what it finds.

Hope that helps.
