Butternut 9BTV on far right. UHF antenna blew down last wind storm.
Telephone pole on left is 250ft. Trees on the far right start about 100 yards and run
about 1/4 mile. The trees just left of center are 3/8 mile away. If one knew where to look a water tower
top is barely visible. It is about 1 mile away.
This camera is a KILLER
The butternuts work well. I ended up going to yagis to keep from having too much wind surface.
Still have 3 towers with junk on them.
I have been a ham since 89. I worked for a MSS motorola service station for 12 years back in the day.
I got wrapped up in cellular when it came along and worked cell/fiber for most of my carrier with the big names.
I still manage several commercial towers around. I was up to 12 repeaters and a bunch of other stuff I
maintained in my younger days. Now I'm down to 5 repeaters and a couple ubiquity links for the DMR repeater.
I like to do POTA (parks on the air) or just go camping with my IC705, not much else. Waiting for the sun spot.
