Amazon 2 Package Toss Delivery

Count yourself as lucky. Amazon recently went to a "private" carrier, alleging they are encouraging small businesses, in our area. We have a long driveway and it seems this local company doesn't train their drivers in how to back up their vehicles. They keep making U turns on our front lawn rather than backing straight back out of the driveway. I sent the carrier an email with JPG captures attached, and mentioned spike strips in that email. That seems to have had some effect.

There was no damage to the contents of either package. Notice both packages landed label face up.
I think I saw this guy in the finals of the National Cornhole Championships.....

I'm with @Nickg ...probably the best treatment to both since they left the safety of their stockroom.

And proof with video or pictures to prove he made the delivery.

That delivery isn't so bad compared to the treatment I get from the UPS driver serving my area now.
I hear ya.
The UPS guy I had for 10 years could sneak up onto the porch and leave 2-3 boxes and the 4-piece, K9 audible-response security system (the Chihuahua model) would remain in standby mode. You could count on him 1100-1130 am, too.

The new guy the last year is hit and miss....shows up between 11 am and 6 pm....does jumping jacks in front of glassed door until he gets a verbal and animated response from the K9 system. Their tractor stays cranked for the next 5 or 6 hours.

Like most, they are convinced that they, and they alone, foiled the intruder's attempt to enter the door or steal stuff off the porch with their collective looks and tail wags.... "Look, dad....we made him put the stuff down". :lmao:

The one I'm subjected to now was supposed to pick up an amazon return last week. He didn't knock or ring the doorbell, but instead dropped off the shipping label and literally ran away before we could bring the box out. A few days later he flipped the bird at the cameras before flipping the package across the porch.

The guy we had before was really nice, always did his job like it mattered, and even went so far as to gently set down items.

I think his "big boss" deserves a video/link attached to an e-mail from a not-so-happy Brian, wouldn't you say? :headbang:

There's plenty of people looking for work, especially for a company as good as UPS.

Our K9 audible alarm goes off if he hears something outside, like a leaf rustling 100 feet away. His bark makes the pots on the hanging pot rack ring like bells. Now the UPS driver backs into the driveway and stops as soon as the truck is all the way off the street, then sneaks up and drops the packages over the fence at the top of the driveway. The Amazon idiots just pull in and make noise, and approach very cautiously to leave the package. I opened the inside door one day, on one of them as he approached, and the K9 system tried to go through the storm door to have lunch...on him.

Hope nothing was broken. I once had a delivery guy open my storm door and throw the packages like he was bowling. Best one was a FedEx guy delivering an Olympic weight set, and home gym. He stacked it all up on my porch then got a disgusted look and loaded it all back up when he realized it was the wrong house.

I'm fortunate to have an awesome UPS delivery guy. He leaves all packages behind a bin that sits on my porch. Once had a large package that he took around to the back stairs of my house. USPS people are hit or miss. Had one who tossed a replacement hard drive onto the porch. Fortunately it still worked.

My Brown truck driver seems to be very conscientious about treating packages gently and even goes out of his way to leave them tight under the overhang in case of rain. Maybe its because he's caught on to the fact that he delivers a case of 9mm Lawman every 2 weeks?

Yeah, my former and best driver was a sometime shooter like me, we'd talk about it from time to time. Every Christmas I'd give our mail lady a gift card to amazon or a nice restaurant...the UPS driver? A gift card to Academy Sports, Cabela's or the like (no Dick's Sporting Goods).

Amen to both of the above posts!!

Our UPS guy has been with us for many years. When things turn ugly, he will know which houses have all the ammo and the like! He is very good, and with wind being a big factor here, he has figured out some good ways to place packages so they wont blow away, etc. Good guy! Really, we get good service from FedEx and USPS, too. I can't complain about any of them.

My USPS guy hates me I think, I get deliveries of 3500 147gr boolits fairly regularly. ;)
Flat rate priority shipping. So he has no idea what's inside. You know if it fits it ships!

Real men shoot .45 ;) lol jk

My mailman once tossed an Amazon package and it actually broke what was inside so I reported him. He has been great to everyone in the neighborhood since. @lulu5kamz do you tip around the holidays? :D:p

No, maybe that's why this happened. :wow: Actually, the regular postal carrier is quite friendly and I occasional talk to him (I showed him the mountain lion video). However, this delivery was from one of Amazon's third party delivery companies. We rarely get the same carrier for Amazon deliveries.
